Elise & Brooks ♥ Engaged! Fairfax, California

It's always an honor when friends ask me to be their wedding photographer and I was truly excited when Elise approached me about it. They are a unique couple and it shows in their engagement photos.  They didn't want a lot of super posed shots and wanted to have fun and casual in a location that was significant.

We did the shoot in the backyard of the property that her Grandparents have owned since the 1930s which a beautiful piece of land. They love wine and board games so they shared a bottle of wine with their picture & wedding date on it (it was their save-the-dates!) and played some chess over the tunnel/creek that runs through the backyard.  We also spent some time on the bridge her grandfather built as well as under the tree where her grandfather proposed to her grandmother.  The significance of this location for her is was so sweet and sentimental...just like their relationship...with a lot of fun in there too!

Seriously looking forward to their nuptials in May 2012 at the Compass Rose Gardens in Bodega Bay!
