Melissa and Mark: Engagement Session @ Fort Baker, CA

Down-to-earth and meant to be?  That's how I like to describe Melissa and Mike.  Set to be wed this August and there couldn't be a better match.

We spent some time at Fort Baker which is just a tad north of San Francisco and at the end of the Golden Gate Bridge in Marin. Beautiful weather and an amazing view of the Golden Gate made for the perfect setting for these two who love the San Francisco Giants! Any closer and we would have been at the game!

Melissa and Mike, you two are so cute and we had a great time. I'm excited for your wedding day and can't wait see you again!

Helping local women and girls - Novato, California Photographer

On April 10th I had the pleasure and honor of volunteering my time to photograph a fun event put on by Soroptimist International of Novato. Soroptimist International of Novato is an association of business and professional women interested in projects that better the lives of women and girls on a local, national and international level. 


The event was called Bonjour Couture! and was a fashion show, luncheon and silent auction to  benefit Soroptimist scholarships and awards, community service projects, and local charities, such as Gilead House and the Novato Youth Center.

Engagement Photo Session with Amber & Scott - Healdsburg, CA Photographer

What can I say about Amber and Scott??  Hip, fun, adorable, passionate and incredibly nice people!

I only spent an hour with this wonderful couple but I felt like I could hang out and have a great time with these two for much longer. We met at their charming home in Healdsburg with it's stunning view off of their back balcony. You could see Mount. St. Helena and the Russian River. Gorgeous!! Plus, there was an old beat up mini red barn to have fun with and since their home is so charming with a retro yellow couch I couldn't resist a few shots in there. Did I mention how beautiful the view is??

But enough of the view! Scott being very tall and Amber so petite they were such a unique looking couple. All in a good way and you'll see in just a moment when you get to their fun, romantic and edgy engagement photos.

Scott is a writer and I discovered his website/blog. I was pleasantly surprised to read the story of how he proposed and after spending just a little bit of time with them today...I can totally picture the moment. Over a game of scrabble.
